EMPIRE
SHOPPING GALLERY AND EMPIRE HOTEL OPERATIONS HALTED TEMPORARILY
In
view of the
unfortunate incident that occurred at Empire Shopping Gallery early
this
morning, the management of both properties have taken the decision to
halt all
operations until further notice. Firstly, allow me to record my
appreciation to
all of you, valued tenants, for your understanding and patience over
this
unfortunate incident. It has undoubtedly been a trying experience for
all of
us.
Following
our
discussion with Bomba and the Royal Malaysian Police, I would like to
provide
an update on the current situation at Empire Shopping Gallery.
- The
authorities, especially Bomba and the Royal Malaysian Police are still
investigating the cause of the blast. They have indicated that a report
could be expected sometime tomorrow.
- In
view of this, the premises will still be cordoned off. Our contractors
have started remedial work we hope to get the essential supplies
connected as soon as possible.
- We
understand your concerns on your fixtures, fittings and other
belongings and assure you that we have positioned tight security around
the premises to safeguard the property.
- As
investigations are on-going, we have no way to ascertain at this point
the severity of the damage inside. Safety remains are of highest
priority and we request for your patience in accessing your individual
premises.
- You
can get updates or request for information via the various channels we
have implemented, namely through the website (www.esg.com.my),
(Empire SHGallery.com). Alternatively, you can call Retail Network Sdn
Bhd at 03-7728 4773.
Again,
we thank you for your understanding and
look forward to
welcoming you back at our beloved Empire Shopping Gallery in the very
near
future.
Best Regards,
May Woo
